I’m back!

Been in hibernation from airgunning for a while due to some reasons I cannot control, first, two of my colleagues who frequently join me to airgun shoots left the country for greener pastures...been left with my airguns plus the airgun of Oliver which he sold later. Romi migrated to Canada with his wife and my inaanak, sold all his airguns and accessories. Arman migrated to Norway and sold his airgun to Butch.

Been busy with my work and had shifted to 22lr for quite some time now. I'm shooting with the LRRP(Long Range Rimfire Philippines) group now and burning powder in the absence of airgun shooting colleagues... :)

Recently, I was able to join the PASA(Pampanga Airgun Shooters' Association)'s shoot in Angeles Pampanga with the purpose of having to talk to a rifle stock maker for my 22lr rimfire rifle.

Shot the 25m benchrest with my 177 caliber JBC airgun and the MS pistol category using my old but reliable JBC pistol. I was accompanied by Edgar Q. who brought his Mario Muli PCP airgun with him but he just strolled around to meet some FB friends.

I luckily got a medal for the pistol shoot and below are some of the pictures of the shoot.(can’t find the pictures anymore, ha ha, will update this later)

Local And Imported Airguns in the Philippines

We Filipinos have been fond of imported items maybe due to our history of being colonized by the Spaniards, Japanese and Americans, not to mention the Chinese who lived with us since the old times.

With airguns, we have a few imported airguns available in our local market(that I knew of), that we can buy for a price too high compared to their prices we can see in the net. If money is not a problem, below are some of our options.

One of the most successful sellers of imported airguns here is Hatsan from Turkey distributed by Hahn. They have different models to choose from including the latest Hatsan PCP multi-shot model AT44-10 they sell for around 39K pesos(including the pump) in 0.22 caliber. They also have other models like the Torpedo 155 in walnut stock which is the top of the line in the springer models also in 0.22. Other models are available like the Torpedo 150(a clone of the Torpedo 155 but with a ploymer stock, rated 1000 fps according to their flyers(maybe using the lightest 0.22 pellets) , Mod 105X Torpedo and the Mod 105X Torpedo-Camo with rated velocities of 800 fps. There's also their Mod 90, Mod 85, Mod 80 and the Mod 80 Camo all of them in break-barrel designs and in 0.22 caliber. The only pistol Hatsan has is their Hatsan Pistol Mod 25 being sold for 5,229 pesos last gunshow, July 16-20, 2009.(see pictures below)

In Twin Pines in Galleria, you can see the high end Steyr Olympic category airgun, Model LG110 if I were not mistaken, and the handsome Steyr Air Pistol in their racks. The prices, more than 200K and 100K pesos respectively..he-he...

There's also the imported CZ PCP Air rifles model 200T(Php34,400) and 200S(Php32,000) at PB Dionisio, and some Crosman CO2 airguns to choose from, wish they will bring in the Benjamin Marauder here and be sold at reasonable price, its USD 499 in the US now.

From time to time, you can see other models in the hands of wealthy Filipino airgunners like the Walther Dominator, Revolution,Fienwerkbau, you name it, some Filipinos have them...

In the local scene, for the CO2, we know the Armscor CO2, Bullseye, Rogunz, Valiente, Escopeta and some unbranded stainless CO2 airguns from Pampanga, Cebu, Batangas and other provinces where airgunning lives.

With the birth of the PCP airguns in the Philippines, we have them in foot pump versions, multi pump and with the self contained refillable pcp airguns. Some of the well known brands are the JBC from Bulacan, Muli PCP airgun from Pasig and Filarms PCP airguns from San Mateo, Rogunz from Paranaque? There are new makers and assemblers now! I’m not updated for a long time, but I’m back now!
