My airgunning hobby....

I started this hobby when I graduated from college. I bought my first Armscor CO2 airgun after I received my first salary...due to my previous work, I was forced to leave my airgun to my father for a while and concentrated on my work as an Engineer. I am a Civil Engineer by profession by the way.

When Romi and Arman, my officemates at our company's Cement Plant, thought of a past time or a hobby for us, Romi bought a second hand JBC and brought it to the plant. I took my old Armscor airgun from Nueva Ecija and brought it here in Antipolo. With the power of the JBC airgun which is a PCP(pre-charged pneumatic) airgun, we were convinced to buy our own JBC airgun.

Since then up to now, we're hooked up to the addictive world of airgunning...

I still have my Armscor 0.22 CO2 airgun with me and I added a lot more to my collection. My second airgun is a JBC 0.22 folding stock hammer type airgun with a 21" JBC barrel. Then, I acquired another JBC hammer type fullstock airgun and installed a 0.22 HW barrel in it. It has a steel tank originally but I upgraded it to T6 aluminum tank some years back and now to a T6 medium tank with a 0.177 HW barrel Oliver(another co-employee hooked to airgunning) sold to me. I won the 3rd place with it on BR25 in Angeles in 2008. I also have a JBC hammer type airgun with a kamagong(Phil. Hardwood) stock, originally with a 0.22 HW barrel and a steel tank. I upgraded this to T6 standard size tank 14.5" long. I also have a Cebu-made 0.22 CO2 airgun made by Joe Tugaon when I was assigned in Cebu some years back.(This airgun has a long story before I was able to bring it to Luzon..). I was able to buy one of the first 10 batches of the Armscor PCP in July 2008 during a gunshow at SM Megamall. A friend and also an addict airgunner, Joel Gatchalian, told me to buy it. Its one of the first PCP airguns made by Armscor with serial number 00007. My latest PCP airgun is a JBC Bolt action airgun in 0.22 caliber where I transfered my HW 0.22 barrel. It has a T6 medium tank. This was acquired after I sold my JBC folding stock to another co-employee who wanted to have a JBC airgun, Robel.

There's Leo RObles pala who was a former co-employee also who was encouraged to buy a JBC PCP hammer type and a manual pump... He's no longer with us but he's still enjoying his JBC PCP....Leo is from Las Pinas and lives near the Bamboo Organ Church...

I almost forgot to mention, there's also a co-employee of ours who introduced us to the Philippine Airgunning Group at Yahoo Groups. He's Amado Red from Marinduque who now use his JBC folding stock airgun to hunt. He'll be converting later to PCP at its in CO2 version.
He sometimes go home to Marinduque for a week of vacation leave just to hunt, a real addict, the original airgun addict amongst us here at our small airgunning world.

To summarize, I have 2 CO2 airguns(Armscor and Cebu-made, Tugaon, both 0.22), 2 fullstock hammer type JBC PCP airguns( 1 - o.22 and 1 - 0.177), another JBC which is a bolt action PCP airgun and an Armscor PCP airgun in 0.22 caliber. I also have a manual JBC pump to fill them and I'm plannin to buy a Carbon Fiber tank later when my budget affords one....for now, I will just fill from the newly bought CF tank my Oliver Nieva during competitions..he-he...

That's all for now, watch out for my review of my airguns later...keep on shooting and shoot safe!!!
